What is cold pressed soap?

Our cold pressed soap is carefully crafted at lower temperatures than hot process soap. This delicate process preserves a wealth of nutrients, ensuring our bars are a treat for your skin.

How long does it take to make cold pressed soap?

Crafting our cold pressed soap is a patient endeavor, taking 4 – 6 weeks to cure. This allows the water to gently evaporate, resulting in the dense, luxurious bars you'll love.

Do you use fair trade and/or organic ingredients?

Absolutely! At Earl and Violet, we're passionate about positive impact. That's why we prioritize fair trade and organic ingredients. We believe in sourcing responsibly for a better world.

Is your soap vegan?

Absolutely! Our soap is created with a plant-based approach, aligning with our commitment to cruelty-free practices.

What about natural ingredients?

We're avid fans of natural goodness! Aside from the colours, and the fragrance in our Rose Gold soap, everything in our products is derived from nature.

How do you fragrance your products? What about essential oils?

Every one of our soaps carries the invigorating essence of essential oils, except our Rose Gold soap. For that, we're currently working on a special formulation using essential oils instead. Stay tuned for an exciting update!

How do you colour your soap?

Achieving vibrant hues in cold pressed soap is an art. Presently, we use synthetic mica for coloration. Our Plain soap, on the other hand, embraces its natural beauty with no added colours.

Please note that due to the use of natural ingredients in our soap, batches can vary in colour.

Are your products gluten free or nut free?

Absolutely! Our products are crafted without gluten or nuts. However, please be aware that our soap is produced in a facility where gluten and nuts are present.

With pride, we handcraft each soap in the vibrant city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I have sensitive skin. Which soap is best for me?

We recommend pampering your sensitive skin with our Plain soap. It's crafted without added fragrance or colors, making it a gentle choice for delicate skin.

What if the item I want is out of stock?

We understand how disappointing that can be! Our inventory moves quickly, but good things are worth the wait. Please check back soon, as we're always working to replenish our stock.

What is the shelf life of your soap? How do I know if my soap has gone bad?

Our soap has a shelf life of 8 months. Since we prioritize natural ingredients, you'll notice orange spots if it has gone past its prime. These spots are distinct and easy to spot.

How should I store my products until I want to use them?

To keep your soap fresh and fabulous, store it in a cool, dry place with good ventilation.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Absolutely! Our packaging is designed with the environment in mind. We're also working towards compostable options for an even greener choice.

Do you test your products on animals?

Never! Our products are tried and true by our friends, never on our furry counterparts.

What is your return policy?

Mistakes can happen, and we take responsibility for any manufacturing defects. If your soap doesn't meet our high standards within the 1 month purchase, please contact us at support@earlandviolet.ca.

How do I change/cancel my order?

Feel free to reach out to us at support@earlandviolet.ca. Just keep in mind, if your order has already shipped, we won't be able to make changes.

Where do you ship to?

We're delighted to deliver our products to all corners of Canada.
Please note our packages will take longer to reach the Territories than the suggested times at check out.
